Vinpower Digital introduces the RipBox Optical Disc (CD, DVD, BD) copy and ripping stations based on the Cube series duplicators. The RipBox units are automated systems with a robotic transport arm that connects to a computer via USB. They can be operated through various software applications like Vinpower’s BPR 2000 Lite, a third party freeware (i.e. ImgBurn), or even through the users own proprietary operation software that can be adapted to controller the RipBox units through an SDK with Vinpower.

The RipBox devices are perfect for archival of important documents and information, ripping items from a disc onto a server or computer, information overflow such as copying video content from surveillance cameras before the HDD fills up and starts to overwrite itself, and so much more. Whether you use the RipBox frequently or only occasionally, it’s compact casing and hidden disc carriage allows the unit to be out of the way and readily available when needed.

Check out the RipBox today.

Hoping the holidays were happy and the New Year is productive!

Except for all the rain here in Southern California over the past few weeks, it has been a thoroughly enjoyable holiday season. The Vinpower family has its eyes set on the coming year, with numerous product releases and updates. Come check out what’s happening at CES Las Vegas, January 6-9. It’s going to be exciting!

My own family decided to take off some extra time and enjoy the week before Christmas in the desert. We went to Palm Springs, turned off the alarm clock, and did nothing. The time was spent just enjoying being together. We brought along our digital camera, of course, and now have a disk full of memories. This now begs the question how to share those memories with family and friends. Previously when using film, sharing vacation pictures involved double prints or gathering everyone together for a slide show. (Remember those ordeals in a darkly light room?)

With the advent of the digital age, we can post our images to the web. Being a bit more creative than this and wanting my own family to have lasting memories, I’ll put the images to music and create a video slide show on DVD. After creating the master, I place it in a multi-target Vinpower duplicator and instantly begin making copies. This allows us to share with distant friends and relatives, through the old fashion communication method of letter writing and the US mail. Since almost everyone has a DVD player hooked up to their TV, even our 90-year-old non-computer literate Abuelita can see our pictures, hear the music, and share in our adventures.

KINECT FOR XBOX 360

Kinect brings games and entertainment to life in new ways without using a controller. Imagine controlling movies and music by waving your hand or the sound of your voice. With Kinect, there is no need to imagine. Indusry experts are saying this is the hotest technology in gaming this holiday season. So with the hottest item being in Xbox gaming then you only have to wonder how long will it be until the Xbox users are going to need DVD+R DL discs. Do you have stock?

Internet-connected Electronics Are Fueling More Rentals, And Less Buying, In Home Entertainment

Got X-Box, or PS3? Then you may be part of the trend in America that is buying movies less and less and renting more and more.  Research is showing that consumers are going to their rental retailers direct from the conforts of their home.  No more being mad at the lady in front of you for taking the last copy of the lastest release. Sales are down in the area of 11% for this same time last year and that is directly reflecting in the increased numbers for the rental retailers. Sign of the times, or trendy; time will only tell.

1TB Optical Disc Developed by TDK

optical-disc.jpg

YES, I did say 1TB optical disc!  New develpoments by TDK has created such a thing.  TDK created a dielectric material as the reflection film that provides a high light transmittance in order incident light to efficiently reach as far as innermost layer and produce a clear eye pattern (read-out signal).

The result is impressive: While the light transmittance of a single layer is 95.1%, it becomes just 72.6% for the total 16 layers of the disc. The specific material has been already used in the currently available Blu-ray discs, according to TDK.

Imagin the possibilities!

Battle Of The Bay!

pirate.jpg     VS     forty-niner.jpg

The battle of the Bay has arrived! The Forty Niners of San Francisco will take on the Raiders of Oakland for bragging rights on who is best to represent the Bay Area. Well to this point, it appears that the Niners would not be the best to carry that torch being that they have not won a game in the 5 weeks of the 2010 season. On the other hand, you have the Raiders who have still not quite righted their ship since the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay pillaged their ship in the 2003 season. Therefore, you have the best of the worst battling for bragging rights in an irrelevant war. If you had a Vinpower Digital duplicator, you would be able to duplicate the video footage of prouder days for both of these teams. For now, you have Sunday where these two-hated rivals will go head to head and you’re guaranteed to see a fight!

Duplicate Moments

old-camera.jpg

One of the first duplicators known to man would be the camera that we use to duplicate moments in time for eternity. Take a moment to look back at all the pictures you have ever posed for, or better yet think of the last picture you saw of yourself that you didn’t remember posing for; this is what this duplicator was created to do. Capturing a moment in your life and making it timeless. Therefore, if you’re the person taking the pictures turn that thing around and have a picture of you taken to add with the ones you took. Time is a precious gift often never appreciated until it’s too late. So along with duplicating precious moments for eternity, take the time given to you to appreciate the moment while you’re in the moment.

calendar.jpg

SEPTEMBER!?!? This is that time of year when the working classes just realize that the year is almost over. There are no more paid holidays to look forward to until November, and you are quickly approaching the 4th quarter. Too late, to look back now, hope you were productive. Your 1099 or W-2 will clearly answer that one for you. I say all this to say my favorite cliché of all… Carpe Diem – Seize the day. Get up, get out, and get something. Be productive to the best of your ability and then when you look up and it is September 2011 your not wondering where the year went because you would know where it went, and have something to show for it. Then you can get with Doc Brown (Back to the Future) and figure out how to use a Vinpower Digital Duplicator to duplicate the year repeatedly.

school-bus.jpg

It is time to load up in the bus and roll out to a new year of school!!!!!  Now personally I was not one to see this as a bad thing.  I no longer was under mom’s watchful eye and free to use the good judgment that she gave me for 7 hours a day!  What ever you do just make sure that you use Vinpower Digital’s products for good rather then evil.  Could you imagine back in my day being able to use a USB Shark flash duplicator to copy my homework and distribute flash drives to the football team in trade for protection from the campus bullies.  Or the Shark Copier to duplicate the latest MP3 downloads and distribute the hottest mixes for every genre to rock the ditch parties.  So good luck to you all in your goal to be apart of the class of 2011!!!

I was asked to make a 5 hour playlist for a party taking place this weekend.  At first I thought no big deal.  Then I began the project thinking there are so many hits that I can work with.  I will only use “Hits” from Oldies, 70’s, 80’s Pop, 80’s Hip Hop, 80’s R & B and so on.  I began to put discs togethere taking me well into the early mornings.  Next thing I noticed I had too many hits and had to cut down some of the tracks I wanted to add.  Well in the end my project was completed and I have 5 discs that I am proud to say will rock the party.  Now I am going to use my Shark Copier to duplicate the discs and distribute at the party as I “Rock This Funky Joint!”
